First Presbyterian Church ONLINE GIVING

Worship at Presbytery Point August 10

First Presbyterian in Marquette and the United Presbyterian Church in Ishpeming will be worshiping together at Presbytery Point Camp on Lake Michigamme on Sunday, August 10 at 10:30.  Visitors are welcome to attend our worship at Presbytery Point!  (Some of us will be first-timers too!)

As a reminder, there will be no worship service on site at FPC Marquette church that morning. If you cannot join us at the Point, please consider worshiping at another local reformed church, such as Messiah Lutheran Church (ELCA).

The camp is about 45 minutes to an hour from church, heading west on U.S. 41, and turning left toward the lake at the “Presbytery Point” sign.  Click here for directions.

The walk to the point is an approximate easy 10 minutes from the parking area.  There will be a golf cart to transport anyone uncomfortable walking that far or walking on an uneven path.

If you need a ride to and from Presbytery Point, sign up by calling the Church office (906-226-6587) no later than Thursday August 7.  If you have signed up with the church office to “car pool (wanting a ride, or able to give a ride), please be at the church parking lot promptly at 9:30 am.

The seating at the worship service area on the point is benches with no back support.   There may be some chairs available, but please feel free to bring your own. The service is scheduled to start at 10:30 am, with a potluck lunch afterwards in the dining hall.  Items can be put in the dining hall refrigerators to keep them cool, or plugged into outlets in the kitchen to keep items warm.  In case of bad weather, worship will be in the dining hall.

Please contact the church office with any questions.  We look forward to seeing you Sunday!
